My Amway Business
When I was eighteen, I got introduced to Amway. I was invited to a meeting and I signed up. I don’t know why, and I didn’t then, I was just excited about an opportunity to have one of those shiny successful lives. The pictures in the brochures and the people at the meeting were all bigger than life and shiny and rich.
I never did much but I invited a few of my eighteen-year-old friends to meetings and the opportunity. And they got excited by the shiny too…and never did much. I decided shortly that Amway did not work and moved on and parked my shiny dreams. But it was always in my mind.
A couple of years later I was approached again. The shiny part was still just as shiny but now I had a family and a job I really didn’t like, so it was more appealing than before. My personal life was shambles then, but I went to the meeting and heard the familiar story and it hadn’t changed much. The meeting was at a very up scale custom home and the owners were full time Amway distributors. They had nice brand-new cars, two pools, one inside, one out, and they were incredibly open and nice people. And it was all very shiny. I thought about it for a while, discussed it, kicked it around and finally decided I would try again.
I did a little more that time. I sold some products and I invited some folks to hear about the opportunity. My personal life came apart with a big explosion and I left to go to Sacramento and a new life. And I left the shiny behind again. One of the people I recruited is still an Amway distributor forty-five years later, highly successful and living the shiny life of dreams. He worked hard and probably still does because that’s what he does in life.
I’ve had a good life, I’ve had a great career selling cars, and now I have slowed down and altered how I live. I don’t have big responsibilities or bills anymore, but I still like the good life. Once again, I was presented with the opportunity, not by someone but on the Internet. I remember the shiny part.
And then COVID closed down my and everyone else’s business. I decided that anything I do career wise is now subject to being taken away in a heartbeat. I decided I needed an income and a base that would not go away the next time the government decided it was too dangerous for me to go outside. I needed an Internet business I can work from home of my office that sells products on the Internet. And I signed up again, not for the shiny this time, but the opportunity to build another business that is recession and lock-down proof. Amway is exactly that.
And the products are still the best you can buy. They are made in America. They are products that everyone uses day after day, and they are safe and time-tested. Amway has been around for more than sixty years. It is a huge multi-billion-dollar business, very financially stable, and pays the producers extremely well.
The stigma of the pyramid scheme and the secrecy of the opportunity pitch is gone. It’s just an opportunity to earn a bit of extra every month and avail yourself of some of the best cleaning, health, or home products available anywhere at a fair price. Or you can make it a big business building from the ground up with total control of who you hire or partner with, what you sell, how much you sell, and how you want to do it all.
It’s like buying a multimillion-dollar franchise for less than $200, never having to worry about inventory storage, or overhead. You put in the time, you make the money and you build it your way with support from everybody in the business with you.
So if you need to make a few hundred bucks a month to meet your bills or if you want total financial and job freedom with an excellent way to retire, let’s talk. If you have the desire and if you work at it you can realize any dream you might have about your life.
I am looking for partners who have the desire for a better life. If that’s you call me. If you are just looking for the shiny, keep walking.
